The Story Behind The Studio
Meet Your Therapist
I’m Tara, an accredited psychotherapist based in the UK.
For several years, I’ve supported hundreds of people from diverse backgrounds through anxiety, trauma, depression, burnout, major life transitions, and the everyday weight of overthinking. My approach combines clinical expertise with real human connection—translating psychological research into tools you can actually feel, use, and see results from.
Before you invest in Self Work Studio, I want to share a little of my story.
From a young age, I was highly attuned to the emotions of others. I became the peacekeeper, the people pleaser—the one who put everyone else first. Over time, that shaped how I saw myself. I lived with self-doubt, relied on reassurance, and struggled to trust my own decisions. I found myself stuck in exhausting cycles of overthinking that felt impossible to break.
During my training to become a therapist, everything began to shift. I learned that anxiety, overthinking, and self-doubt aren’t fixed truths—they’re habits formed by old experiences. And with patience, understanding, and practical tools, they can be changed. Through consistent self-work, I built emotional confidence, set boundaries, stopped people pleasing, and learned to trust myself again. That transformation became the foundation of both my life and my practice.
Now, I help others do the same.
I bring evidence-based self-work to life in ways that are practical, relatable, and genuinely motivating. My mission is to guide you from self-doubt to self-trust—helping you build emotional confidence and resilience not only for the challenges you’re facing today, but for the ones you’ll meet in the future.
Above all, I’m committed to making self-work accessible, grounded, and truly transformative, so you can make your mind work for you, not against you.
